Born to a vagabond seamstress who lived in a hut on the edge of the Kalahari desert, LH Thomson was destined to…
No… no, wait, that’s not right….
Spawned from the womb of an Elvish princess, LH Thomson began life…
Oh, okay… enough of that. The reality is that my life has been all over the map. Born to a petroleum engineer from Scunthorpe and a homemaker/businesswoman from Montreal, I grew up at various times in Libya, England, Greece, Angola and Canada. I spent hundreds of hours on flights as a child, and developed a love of reading that turned into a twenty-five-year journalism career.
I met my wife Lori in 2006 and we’ve been together ever since. We live in Edmonton, Alberta, and most of my family live in Ottawa.
After hanging up my editorial stripes in 2012, I vowed to finally finish one of the many books I’d begun to write over the years, and find myself a few years later with the Liam Quinn Mysteries detective series having developed a decent following. Perhaps it’s because Liam is a decent guy in a world that often seems indecent.
I continue to write mysteries both in the Quinn series and as stand-alone stories, and have several books coming out this year and next. In my spare time, I play blues guitar, read a wide variety of fiction and am waiting for the Oculus Rift consumer version with the excitement of a spoiled child in the candy aisle.
Cheers, and thanks for reading!
